| Did you know... When emergenies happen, Baltimore County will usually broadcast important updates to residents via the county website, as well as Twitter@BACOemergency. It is very easy to sign up for Twitter and there is no charge. www.Twitter.com/BACOemergency. With twitter, you do not have to "tweet," (i.e., post anything), but having an account will allow you to access the emergency information. All of the County's BACOemergency tweets are also simultaneously posted on the County website at www.baltimorecountymd.gov/emergency. I highly encourage you to sign up, and/or follow the twitter page. These days, many cell phones have apps which will provide access to twitter. Thus, even in the event of a power outage, (which are not uncommon with storms), having a twitter account may be a very useful tool. You do not need the apps if you just would like to receive the text message information on your phone. All of the County's BACOemergcy tweets are also simultaneously posted on the County website at www.baltimorecountymd.gov/emergency. |
